100 Day Pary

On 99 days of school (as most of our class were moving on to room 1)  we celebrated 100 days of school early.

We made party hats.  We had to get 10 strips of paper and put 10 dots on each.  That gave us 100 dots on our hats.

We tapped a balloon up 100 times.

We blew our blowers 100 times.

We put 100 stickers on a piece of paper

We ate party food and last of all...

We popped 100 water balloons.

House Event end of Term 2

All events are organised and lead by our senior student leaders.  They have done a great job. So many children having fun!

Leaders Week

Student leaders are out and about this week with a selection of organised activities  for younger students in the school (including storytelling, chalk art, orienteering, soccer and band performances).  We are loving it.  Here are a few pics of some of our students out having fun.

Our Dog Safety Visit

Jan and her dog Smuge came to visit.

Jan talked to us about dogs

She told us not to look in their eyes and it we are unsure about the dog we should be still.

Jan told us to make ourselves like a rock if a dog is running at us,

If we want to pat a dog we need to ask its owner and then the best place is under the chin on the dogs chest.  We each had a go. 

Jesus our Friend

We have been learning about Jesus.

Today we wrote a book together to show some of the things we have learnt.

Finding shapes

Today (and some of yesterday)  we went searching for shapes around the classroom and some of us went outside.    We took photos of the shapes and recorded ourselves talking about them.

Jesus Meal

Today we shared a  meal of foods that Jesus would have eaten.

We dressed in clothes like Jesus and sat around a floor mat that we decorated in the morning.
Some of us were very brave and tried some new foods, including olives, feta and figs.
